Meet the team

Founder - Dan Russell

Dan has spent over 20 years working at the heart of the financial services market in the UK leading investment, insurance, compliance and technology firms working with thousands of financial advice firms and hundreds of investment, insurance and mortgage providers.

He is a renowned leader, innovator, speaker and broadcaster who after many years arguing that most people in the UK lacked the financial understanding, knowledge, learning and education to make informed decisions about their money, founded funkled in 2025 with a simple mission to educate as many people as possible.

When he's not working on more content for funkled, recording the podcast, or speaking at an event, he can be found on a small farm near York, with his family and too many dogs, chickens and horses.
